As a youth, Jennifer was eager to study abroad but found the experience to be isolating. She dedicated herself to better understanding language and culture as well as welcoming newcomers, so that she could improve the experience of adaptation for everyone. In her careers in employment services and international education, she continued to see the need for more support for newcomers to Canada as well as for organizations and communities which receive them.
You’ll find Jennifer ripping up mountain bike trails, carving ski tracks, paddle boarding in Lake Superior Provincial park, or relaxing with the sounds of nature.
As a former international student in Australia and Canada, Josie experienced cultural shock, challenging learning environments and language barriers, but also had a great opportunity immersing in different cultures, reflecting on interesting perspectives, exploring her identities and building her resilience. She chose to settle in Canada, her second home country to provide services to international students and organizations. Josie specializes in intercultural skill training as a Qualified Administrator of IDI® and a Certified Executive Coach.

Jin is an Immigration File Assistant at iCA. Her journey to Canada began with a working holiday program. She has experienced Canadian culture and fell in love with the country. After returning to South Korea to complete her degree, Jin made a big decision to go back to Canada and settle permanently. Jin has worked in food/hospitality and as a team leader in product/project management at a jewelry company, developing skills in customer service, leadership, and organization that she now uses to support newcomers. She is passionate about creating a welcoming community for newcomers in Sault Ste. Marie and helping them thrive.

He completed his studies in India and brought a strong background in managing immigration files , ensuring accuracy and efficiency in documentation and processing. His extensive experience makes him highly skilled at navigating the complexities of immigration paperwork and supporting clients throughout the immigration process.

Victoria is an Immigration File Assistant, with a Bachelor in International Relations and she is now pursuing her Post Graduation in Global Business Management at Sault College. Back in 2018, she had the opportunity to live in Canada for 4 months while studying at MUN in St. Johns, Newfoundland through an academic mobility program. She fell in love with the country and decided to return, now permanently. During her planning years, she dedicated herself to studying the Immigration process and procedures and she knew that she could help guide more people who had the same dream as her.
Other than talking about immigration, Victoria loves to travel and prepare desserts, presenting a little piece of Brazilian cuisine to her friends in Canada.
Kandy supports talent, employers, and outreach processes. She holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s in Management, and she's currently working on her CHRP designation. With a solid background in Human Resources, Kandy is passionate about helping newcomers settle into their communities. She enjoys supporting clients as they navigate the immigration process and helping jobseekers thrive in their new environment. Kandy also coordinates the Talent Pool Program, helping companies find and hire international talent and ensuring skilled workers have a smooth transition to Canada.
